Day 16: Apposite

Because it seemed, well, apposite. And I confused some first graders today. It was great fun.
“As you no doubt have already discerned, the implications for this theory are myriad and earth-shaking. Science will be fundamentally changed in a manner parallel to and derived from the concomitant changes in mathematics. The way we speak, the way we feel, the way we interact, the way we think about the world will subsequently evolve towards a truer point. The very nature of what it means to be human has been altered fundamentally.”

There was stunned silence, and then the voice of a small-minded teacher saying “That’s nice, Professor, but is it really appropriate for fifth grade career day?”
